Wellness Wednesday - Decathlon activities and a stroke survivor's story
We'd all like to do something to get moving, but it can be tough to get started. Sometimes it's easier to take that first step if we do it with a few friends.

It's the official kickoff event to the UNMC Winter Activity Decathlon.
The 10-week challenge is for UNMC employees, and is designed to increase activity and show us the activity options available on campus.
Participants can choose from suggested easy, moderate and difficult activities, or develop their own activities, and employees who do one a week for all 10 weeks can win a cool long-sleeve T-shirt at the conclusion of the decathlon. Register online by Feb. 25 to be eligible for a shirt. After you've registered, you'll be sent a pamphlet to track your activities.
Each week also will include a group activity - like Monday's walk - if you find strength in numbers. And those activities count toward the T-shirt, too. Show up at the DOC to take that first step. And watch UNMC Today for more on the events to come.
