Business/finance takes first UNMC LiveGreen Pledge race

Business and Finance raised its participation in the UNMC LiveGreen pledge by eight percentage points on Friday to top the College of Medicine in the first pledge race.

The UNMC LiveGreen pledge races continue on Tuesday as the College of Nursing takes on the School of Allied Health Professions to see which unit can raise its pledge percentage number the most.

Business and Finance rose to 44 percent from 36 percent -- increasing to 177 pledged employees from 144.

The College of Medicine added 123 people to its pledge list, which raised its overall pledge total to a campus-leading 424 employees.

Unfortunately for medicine, that bump equated to only a four percentage point raise in its pledge participation, which stood at 16 percent at the end of Friday's race.
