Howard Gendelman, M.D., Courtney Fletcher, Pharm.D., Susan Swindells, M.B.B.S., and Howard Fox, M.D., Ph.D., have combined to give UNMC a world-class team in the battle against HIV/AIDS.

Three decades ago, not one of the five people in this story had ever heard of the University of Nebraska Medical Center or each other. They had only one thing in common - a future that would be affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. But today they work together at UNMC - four scientists and a patient - for a better treatment, perhaps even a cure, for the deadly AIDS virus. It's translational research at its best. Read a story from the latest edition of UNMC Discover about the combined efforts of Courtney Fletcher, Pharm.D., Howard Gendelman, M.D., Howard Fox, M.D., Ph.D., and Susan Swindells, M.B.B.S., to battle the AIDS virus.
