LiveGreen Scene returns, focused on the 'reEnergize Program'

UNMC's LiveGreen Scene returns to campus on Oct. 30 as Jason Kubicek from the City of Omaha comes to the medical center to speak about the local reEnergize Program.

What: The reEnergize program is sponsored by the Cities of Omaha and Lincoln and provides significant incentives to homeowners to make energy-saving upgrades to their homes. The program will pay for up to half of all energy upgrades to your home, such as:
  • The installation of a new energy-efficient furnace or air conditioning unit;
  • Increasing attic insulation; and
  • Sealing air leaks.

If you own your home and it's within the city limits of Omaha or Lincoln, you qualify for the program/incentives.

When: Tuesday, Oct. 30, Noon

Where: Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater

Lunch and registration: Sandwiches from Greenbelly Restaurant will be provided and seats are limited. To reserve your seat, email livegreen@unmc.edu, type "reEnergize Program" in the subject line and write your full name in the body of the email.
