UNMC History 101 - Dr. Wigton continues COM history lectures on Jan. 16

Robert Wigton, M.D., associate dean in the College of Medicine and professor of internal medicine, will continue his four-part series on the history of the college on Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Dr. Wigton's second talk in the series -- titled "Part 2: 1913-1946, the New Home on 42nd Street" -- starts at noon in the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater. Free pizza will be served to the first 100 in attendance.

The schedule for the remaining seminars in the series is:

  • Feb. 20 -- "Part 3: 1947-1980, the Birth of the Medical Center"
  • March 20 -- "Part 4: 1981-2013, Modern Times"
