Music and magic mark upcoming events
To recognize the work and support our office service staff provides faculty, administrators, managers and/or supervisors, UNMC is celebrating Administrative Professionals Day on Tuesday, April 23.
Office service employees received an invitation on Monday to attend the celebration event. Be sure to RSVP to either the morning session, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., or the afternoon session, from noon to 1:30 p.m., through Employee Services. If there are questions about an invitation, please contact Katie Campbell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each session will feature Joe Brogie, magician, mentalist and hypnotist. Brogie will take you into the world of mind reading through fun psychological games and clever misdirection. He uses audience participation, suggestion and magic to create baffling displays of thought, manipulation and impossible predictions.
"Music as Medicine" set for April 18
April's "Music as Medicine" luncheon concert is set for noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 18 in the Durham Outpatient Center's West Atrium.
Darci Gamerl (oboe), Leslie Fagan (flute) and Stacie Haneline (piano), members of the Omaha Chamber Music Society, will perform.
As always, the "Music as Medicine" concert is free, and everyone is invited. Bring your lunch and let the music be your medicine!
If there are questions about an invitation, please contact Katie Campbell at email@example.com.
Was the invitation a e-mail or card? I didn't receive one. Employee Services is not in the directory. Does anyone know who to contact? 23 years on campus and I didn't receive a invitation this year, what's up with that?
