On Tuesday, Sept. 17, UNMC will hold a campus blood drive from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the Student Life Center in the Center for Healthy Living.

Whose life will you change? Click here to watch a short video.

The goal for the drive is 62 units of blood, and as of today, there were 54 donors already scheduled, with 23 appointments still available.

September's Fitness Friday: Yoga

Come join us for September's Fitness Friday event on Sept. 20 at noon. Todd Gulizia will be leading yoga on the Scott Student Plaza. This is a free event for employees and students.

Please RSVP to UNMC events if you are able to attend or would like to attend future Fitness Friday events. Space is limited.

Blood donation and UNMC.

Every blood donation is an opportunity to help someone in need. Giving blood really does help save lives. Despite the fact that giving blood is easy, safe, and takes about 75 minutes, only 5 percent of eligible Americans donate blood. It is too easy to rationalize that someone else will fill the need.

To schedule a donation, use the Red Cross' electronic scheduling system. Click here, find the blood drive and enter the sponsor code -- 0091199. Or click on this link.
