Sometime late Tuesday, 41 snowpeople appeared on the south side of the UNMC College of Pharmacy. The snow figures, each with twig arms, bark eyes and a carrot nose, met with chuckles from UNMC students, faculty and staff.
Third-year pharmacy students Brant Hanisch, Lee Stutzman, Andrew Beckmann and Heidi Goodell created the "Calvin and Hobbes" like-masterpiece, then hauled in 20 sleds of snow to create a footprint-free area around the snow family.
The group returned on Friday to update the scenario, showing the smaller snowmen's victory over their larger enemy.
The College of Pharmacy has a history of snow designs. In 2004, the college's custodial staff members dressed up an outdoor trash bin with newly fallen snow. View the 2004 snow cone masterpiece.
