Employees urged to keep up curtailment actionsLittle relief from the heat is in sight according to the latest forecasts.
|As the heat continues this week, employees are asked to continue energy curtailment actions.|
Such efforts already have helped UNMC save more than $250,000 this summer.
To help with this effort, employees can:
- Close shades, blinds and curtains whenever possible to reduce solar heat gain;
- Lower lighting levels where possible and turn off lights in unoccupied areas; and
- Turn off and unplug all electrical equipment not in use (computers, coffee makers, printers, chargers, etc.), especially in offices.
