Remembering ... Sandy McGinty

A prayer service for Sandy McGinty will be held today 7 p.m. at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St.) in Omaha.

McGinty -- an administrative assistant in the College of Public Health's Department of Biostatics who worked at UNMC for more than 20 years -- died Friday at the age of 63.

"Sandy's dedication and commitment ... has been an integral part of our success and growth," said Jane Meza, Ph.D., chairwoman of the department of biostatistics. "She will be dearly missed."

Memorials should be sent to S.O.L.A.S (Support Our Local Animal Shelter).
