It is Department of Defense and Air Force policy that all medical records are government property. The
clinic will maintain your records for you. When you are enrolled into the clinic, we ask that you check your records into the clinic. Due to the active military lifestyle, you or your family may need to check your records out for appointments, TDYs and PCSs. When you check out your record or need copies sent to another provider, please come to the FMR front desk one duty day in advance. The staff will have your records for you the next duty day.
If you are going TDY or PCS, you are required to provide a copy of your orders prior to releasing your records. In Accordance with the Privacy Act, you are not allowed to pick up your spouse's records without written permission and a copy of their ID card.
