OUTPATIENT TRAINING
Outpatient training takes place at three ambulatory clinics located throughout the greater Omaha area:
The Durham Outpatient Care Center is part of University Medical Associates on the UNMC campus. It is the "parent" clinic where residents, their faculty counterparts and a strong nursing staff handle 25,000 patient visits per year. Office surgery experience includes colonoscopy, vasectomy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and plastic surgery.
University Medical Associates West, located in suburban west Omaha, averages 16,000 patients per year. This office has expanded its space to meet patient needs. It provides designated space for office surgery, including colposcopy.
One World Health Center, located in an inner city neighborhood with an underserved immigrant population, averages 17,000 patients per year.
