UNMC RESIDENTS The family practice residency at UNMC is more than the sum of its academic and clinical parts. It's a group of its own-energetic young physicians who are sensitive to the new experiences they share: delivering the first baby, setting the first broken leg, handling a medical health crisis. It's a group of individuals who not only want to care for others, but desire a commitment to their own family members as well. Our residency program includes social support and volunteer opportunities as well as educational experience. We have an active Residents Association and DOC (Doctors Ought to Care) Program. We believe that in addition to developing professional skills and personal independence, residents should have the chance to interact...to develop the friendships and cooperative spirit necessary for personal fulfillment within the medical profession.
