URBAN UNDERSERVED TRACK

This track offers a unique training opportunity for physicians who feel a calling to practice cross-cultural medicine. The heart of this program is a continuity clinic experience at the One World Health Center, a community health center serving primarily low-income, Spanish-speaking families.

Residents in this program will receive real-world exposure to the needs of an underserved, immigrant population. They will manage patients with a wide variety of challenging acute and chronic health problems, including substantial obstetrical experience.

This track combines the best of both university- and community-based programs by offering high quality educational opportunities and access to state-of-the-art facilities, while creating a sense of belonging with a small cadre of dedicated attendings and staff. Our vision is to create an opportunity for residents to feel a true sense of purpose during their residency experience within a nurturing, supportive context.

We are seeking two individuals per year who value diversity and have a sense of adventure and team spirit to join us in providing compassionate, family-centered care. Bilingual ability helps, but anyone with Spanish language skills should apply.
