Department of Internal Medicine Educational Conference Schedule
The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska, offers a medical school program, as well as an affiliated residency program. The emphasis here is educating skilled physicians through a commitment to the highest quality of education, as well as house officer training, guided by the enthusiasm and teaching ability of the faculty in a variety of clinical settings including managed care environments.
At UNMC, you have the opportunity for three to five year residencies in several specialties and subspecialties. While the major teaching resource for most UNMC residency programs is University Hospital, depending on your chosen specialty area, you may gain experience through a variety of affiliated settings, including Clarkson Hospital which has merged with UNMC to form Nebraska Medical Center, and various off-site clinics.
