Oral Presentation

Graduate Students Only: Please consider abstract for 15 minute oral presentation

New for the Combined Iowa-Nebraska Physiological Society Meeting

To be eligible for the $1000 poster competition travel award (1 undergraduate and 1 graduate award will be given) to the 2012 Experimental Biology Meeting, an email from the student’s mentor must be received by the deadline date (nps@unmc.edu) endorsing the abstract and supporting the student to attend the EB 2012 meeting.

Note:  The graduate student chosen for the 15 minute oral presentation can also give a poster presentation and be considered for the travel award.  However, they will be judged based on their poster presentation only and not their oral presentation.

Type in your Abstract Using the Editor Below

  1. CAPITALIZE THE ENTIRE TITLE, making the title as brief as possible.
  2. List the authors (with presenting author name underlined), the name of the school, the city and state.
  3. Do not use scientific symbols in abstract.
  4. Organize the body of the abstract in the following manner:

    A
    statement of the purpose of the study (one sentence if possible).

    A statement of the methods and material used.

    A summary of the results presented in sufficient detail to support the conclusions.

    A full statement of the conclusions reached. (it is not sufficient to state "The results will be discussed".)

    Do not use subtitles, e.g., methods, results, etc.
