Bilingual speakers needed to help train medical students
Do you speak a language other than English or know sign language? We need your help training medical students to use interpreters. If you have a friend or relative who speaks the same language or can sign, we need both of you (one of you must be fluent in English). A script will be provided and you or your partner would act as an interpreter for the medical students as they interview the person pretending to be the patient. A small stipend will be provided. Dates for this exercise will be Tuesday, Oct. 6 and Tuesday, Oct. 13, from noon to 4 p.m. Contact Ron Bechdolt at 559-8689 or rbechdolt@unmc.edu for more information.
