Diabetes month events set for November 
November is American Diabetes Month and The Nebraska Medical Center Diabetes Center wants to communicate the seriousness of diabetes and the importance of diabetes prevention and control. During the month of November the diabetes center will host a variety of activities to raise awareness of diabetes, including:
  • Nov. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- the diabetes center will host information tables at the Clarkson Campus and Nov. 24 on the University Campus, same time. Stop by and pick up some of the latest information regarding diabetes and diabetes prevention.
  • Nov. 10 at noon - A campuswide walk for diabetes. Stop by the table in the Clarkson Cafeteria and then walk with us for diabetes.
  • Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon -- The diabetes center will participate in a Health Fair at the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.
  • Nov. 18 from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. -- The diabetes center will host a free class titled "PreDiabetes: A New American Epidemic" in Lower Storz Pavilion, Room 6 and 7. This is open to all employees of the Nebraska Medical Center.
