Power interruption for 4230 building and all buildings east of 42nd Street Nov. 3
On Tuesday, Nov. 3, there will be a momentary interruption (shut off) of normal electrical power to the main electrical switchboard that serves all levels of the following buildings:
  • 4230 Building, 6 p.m.;
  • Student Life Center, 6:20 p.m.;
  • Administration Center, 6:40 p.m.;
  • College of Nursing, 7 p.m.;
  • College of Pharmacy, 7:20 p.m.;
  • Sorrell Center, 7:40 p.m.; and
  • UNMC Physicians Eye Spec./Lions Eye Bank 8 p.m.
This will cause a brief outage to all receptacle outlets, computers, lighting, air handling units, supply fans, exhaust fans, fume hoods, motors, etc. throughout the building. If possible, it is recommended that computers and other pieces of sensitive electrical equipment be shut down prior to the scheduled electrical interruption as a safety precaution. This shut off is required to allow for the installation of primary electrical feeder circuit connections for the new College of Nursing Addition project currently under construction.
