Nominations due Feb. 8 for College of Public Health Excellence in Teaching Award 
The College of Public Health invites students and faculty to nominate a College faculty member for the Excellence in Teaching Award. This award will recognize a faculty member who excels in one or more of the following:
  • Facilitation of student learning;
  • Use of creative teaching methods;
  • Command of the subject;
  • Creation of a learning environment in and outside of class;
  • Contribution to curricular and instructional development;
  • Direction of student research;
  • Advising; and
  • Guidance and supervision of graduate student instructors.
Nominations are due on Feb. 8. In your nomination, please describe the characteristics that make your faculty nominee worthy of emulation and note whether the committee may contact you for further information. Mail or e-mail your nomination to:

Contact Dr. Lander for more information about the award. The Excellence in Teaching Committee will review applications and select two honorees. Each honoree will receive a $2,000 stipend, and his or her name will appear on a plaque outside the dean's office. The announcement of the award will be made in April.
