Integrative/organ systems pharmacology short course open to researchers 
Omaha's NIH-funded Integrative and Organ Systems Pharmacology (IOSP) Short Course is now open for registration by UNMC students, postdocs, faculty and technicians who would benefit from training in the use of animals and intact isolated organ systems to study drug action and other aspects of biomedical science. This year's course will be held from June 7-18 and is being offered to local students at a reduced rate of $500 for the two-week course. The course includes didactic lectures and extensive hands-on laboratories, with emphases on neuro-behavioral and cardiovascular models and assays. The course is taught by faculty from UNMC, Creighton University, the University of Kansas, the National Academies of Science, and our pharmaceutical industry partner Abbott.
