A note for students interested in participating in an international exchange program 
UNMC will participate in the Bioscience & Medicine International Summer Academic Exchange Program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (SJTUSM) from July 16-23, 2011. Two Ph.D. students will be selected. This is an international summer program of academic exchanges for Ph.D. students based on the solid foundation in the fields of medical treatment, teaching and scientific research, in order to offer an open, interactive platform to international students, accelerate international proceeding of graduate education, and create new prospects for international cooperation and communication in graduate education. Requirements include: Ph.D. students in bioscience fields (tissue engineering, cardiovascular disease, stem cells and cancer preferentially), have in-depth cognition in his or her study field, have obtained some achievements (such as paper published in an international journal and others) in his or her study field, and are able to deliver academic presentations during the program. The expense of round trip tickets (not to exceed the allotted amount of approximately $1,500), and accommodations of visiting students and activities held by the summer program will be funded by SJTUSM.
