SAGH sells coffee, fairly-traded products
For the fifth-consecutive year, the Student Alliance for Global Health (SAGH) is selling fairly-traded products grown by small farmers in underdeveloped and developing countries through its "Making Coffee Strong" fundraiser. Along with whole bean and ground coffee, tea in bags and loose leaf form, cocoa mix, and chocolate bars are offered. By purchasing the products, the buyer is helping to build a sustainable future for peasant farmers in countries such as Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Mexico, Peru Ecuador, China, India and Ethiopia. SAGH will use the proceeds of the sales to help support its annual medical service trips to Jamaica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica and a Native American Reservation. A description of products and order form can be found at http://www.unmc.edu/isp. Products may also be purchased directly from the International Studies & Programs office or during selected noon hours in Wittson Hall near the 42nd Street entrance.
