Dr. Pamies to address SAGH's Feb. 8 wine, cheese social 
The Student Alliance for Global Health's annual Wine and Cheese Social will be Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Omaha Women's Club Mansion, 518 S. 38th St. Rubens Pamies, M.D., vice chancellor for academic affairs, will present "From Haiti to Omaha: Health Disparities in the U.S. and Abroad." As a native of Haiti and co-author of the recently released book "Multicultural Medicine and Health Disparities," Dr. Pamies will offer his unique perspective on global health disparities. The event also features a sampling of international wines and cheeses. RSVP by Feb. 7. Tickets are $25 per person with proceeds helping support SAGH's medical service trips to Jamaica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica and a Native American reservation. Tickets will be sold during the noon hour outside Wittson Hall Ampitheater until the day of the event.
