Nursing students seek donations for Omaha Food Bank
In recognition of National Public Health Week (April 3-7), the Level 4 students in the UNMC College of Nursing are holding a food drive for the Omaha Food Bank. The focus of NPHW this year is "Designing Healthy Communities: Raising Healthy Kids." As a result, the UNMC students are targeting collection of nonpersihable foods for children (cereals, oatmeal, breakfast bars, peanut butter, jelly, juice boxes), hygiene products for children (tooth brushes, tooth paste) and hygiene products for teens (tampons, sanitary napkins, etc). The food drive will run through Friday, April 7 with collection boxes in the Commons area on the second floor of the College of Nursing. Monetary contributions may be left in the donation container in the College of Nursing's Learning Resource Center.
