Christmas at Union Station Nov. 24
It's one of the most special events on the area's holiday calendar -- Christmas at Union Station. Join us Friday, Nov. 24, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the lighting of Omaha's largest indoor Christmas tree. The evening will be filled with music and merriment as children share their wish lists with Santa and Mrs. Claus and everyone partakes in the traditional countdown to the lighting of the tree. Other activities include children's crafts, a puppet show for Durham Western Heritage Museum members and much more. Refreshments are available for purchase at the soda fountain. This annual holiday celebration is sponsored by UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians. As part of the tree lighting ceremony, museum members are invited to enjoy Santa's Snack Shop in the Swanson Gallery from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Members can display their holiday spirit by decorating cookies and sipping milk after sharing their wish lists with Santa. Children can also register to win door prizes. Remember -- Santa's Snack Shop is available only to members so this would be a great time to take advantage of the UNMC, NMC and UNMC Physicians 10 percent membership discount.
