Additional workshop to be offered through museum partnership
Did you know that most museums display less than 5 percent of the objects they own? There are many reasons why artifacts are not exhibited. Some may be too fragile and some may not fit the museum's mission, but all tell a unique story. The Durham Western Heritage Museum is offering an exclusive opportunity to medical center employees and students to discuss such artifacts at the museum in a workshop titled "Hidden Treasures -- Selected Artifacts." Join the Durham Western Heritage Museum's Curator, Luis Vasquez on a journey through the museum's archives and a look at some of Omaha's "hidden treasures" on April 10 at noon, in Swanson Hall, Room 2013. Seating is limited to 20. Reserve your spot today by e-mailing Jill Carson at jlcarson@unmc.edu.
