Bash to benefit children with cancer Aug. 18 
Omaha-area Optimist Clubs have joined together to hold the "Summer Bash for Childhood Cancer" on Saturday, August 18 at The Digz at 4428 S. 140th St. Starting at 7 p.m., it promises to be an evening of fun, entertainment and excitement with dancing to the Grease Band and all for the cause of fighting Childhood Cancer. This fundraiser is a Nebraska extension of an International Optimist program, the Childhood Cancer Campaign (CCC). The CCC program has four areas of focus:
  • Support children diagnosed and receiving treatment for cancer;
  • Support families and care partners of children with cancer;
  • Support for healthcare and service providers; and
  • Support for cancer research.
The Summer Bash will benefit children's oncology at The Nebraska Medical Center, Children's Hospital, Camp Quality, Camp COHOLO and families that have children with cancer. For ticket information and details on how you can help, log on to www.bashforccc.org or call 493-3136.
