Joslyn hosting free art classes on campus in September and October 
Joslyn Art Museum Passport Partners invites employees and students of UNMC, UNMC Physicians, and The Nebraska Medical Center to enroll in six-week art class series -- free of charge! Discover methods of drawing the face realistically. See reproductions of portraits on view at Joslyn Art Museum and learn the principles of classic proportion, handling features and rendering lights and shadow. Classes will be held on the following Wednesdays in September and October:
  • Sept. 12,
  • Sept. 19,
  • Sept. 26,
  • Oct. 3,
  • Oct. 10,
  • Oct. 17.
The classes run from 6 to 8 p.m. and will be held in the Durham Research Center, Room 1006 except for the Oct. 3 class, which will be in Swanson Hall, Room 2013. The instructor is Ron Sykes. Registration is required and limited to 16 people on a first-come first-served basis. To register, please email Jill Carson at jlcarson@unmc.edu. The art classes are a part of the Passport Partners program between the museum and the medical center, which allows employees and students to receive free admission to the museum year round with valid identification.
