Special presentation on al Qaeda at the Durham Museum Sept. 11 
The International Spy Museum presents: "Beyond al-Qaeda: Ideology, the Terrorist Universe and Fighting Back" at the Durham Western Heritage Museum on Tuesday, Sept. 11. The event will feature light hors d'oeuvres and cash bar reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with panel discussion in Swanson Gallery starting at 6:30 p.m. featuring Farhana Ali, former CIA analyst, and Burton Gerber, former CIA Chief of Station. The discussion, presented by the International Spy Museum, is titled "Beyond al-Qaeda: Ideology, the Terrorist Universe and Fighting Back." This panel will explore the post 9/11 terrorist universe. Burton Gerber and Farhana Ali will address the evolution of the U.S. response to terrorism, and how the terrorist enterprise that we know as al-Qaeda has also evolved.
