Free head and neck cancer screenings April 22
Did you know that approximately 40,000 Americans will develop oral, head or neck cancer this year? Early detection can save lives. Risk factors include smoking, chewing tobacco, drinking alcohol, prior head, neck or oral cancer. Signs and symptoms include mouth sores that don't heal, sore throat or difficulty swallowing, change in voice or a growth or swelling in the neck. If you or someone you know has any of these risk factors or suffers from these symptoms, call to register for the free cancer screening on Tuesday, April 22 from 3 to 6 p.m. in The Nebraska Medical Center Head & Neck Surgical Oncology Clinic on the Third Floor of University Tower. Appointments can be made by calling 800-922-0000.
