Diversity Lectures and Cultural Arts Series presents Hispanic Heritage Month lecture on Sept 19 
Jonathan Benjamin-Alvarado, Ph.D., will present a lecture titled, "Personal Reflections on the Failure of Immigration Policies," on Friday, Sept 19 from noon to 1 p.m. in the UNMC Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater. A sack lunch will be provided for the first 40 attendees. Dr. Benjamin- Alvarado is an associate professor of political science at the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he also is co-founder and assistant director for research and outreach for the Office of Latino and Latin American Studies (OLLAS). He is the author of two books on Cuban energy issues and due to national attention attracted by his research, has appeared on CNN, NBC Nightly News, ABC World News Tonight and PBS' America's Defense Monitor.
