College of Pharmacy fire alarm test Sept. 2
On Tuesday, Sept. 2, the existing fire detection and alarm devices in the elevator lobbies will be activated and tested to verify proper operation. This is a preliminary test in preparation for the State Elevator Inspector testing to be performed later in the week. Testing should not take more than 15 minutes. The disruption will start at 9 a.m. and should be complete by 10 a.m. Please note that portions of the existing/new fire detection and alarm systems may be momentarily disabled at times during the testing. During this time, the contractor will be performing a "fire watch" of the disabled fire alarm zone. Any occupants of the COP building that observe or smell smoke and/or fire should immediately call UNMC security dispatch at 559-5555. If you have any questions, please contact Dan Michalak at 559-5048 or Nick Combs at 559-5292.
