UNMC seeks nominations for The A. Ross McIntyre Award 
UNMC currently is accepting nominations for the 2009 A. Ross McIntyre Award.The award is given to an individual who has made Outstanding Contributions to medical sciences and/or medical education. The award is given in memory of A. Ross McIntyre, Ph.D., chairman of the UNMC Department of Physiology and Pharmacology from 1934 to1967. The A. Ross McIntyre Award Committee is soliciting nominations for appropriate individuals for this prestigious award, which consists of an honorarium of $1,500, a gold medal and an all-expenses-paid trip to Omaha to deliver a lecture and receive the award. The award is for:
  • An individual who has made a significant contribution to the medical sciences and/or medical education;
  • National contributions in the areas of education, research and/or community outreach; and
  • The contributions should be beyond the scope of work-related actives.
The letter of nomination should describe in detail the outstanding contributions of the nominee. The letter and a copy of his or her current Curriculum Vitae should be received by Oct. 15.Submit all nominations and supporting material to:
