SAGH auction runs through Dec. 12
The Student Alliance for Global Health (SAGH) is running its Internet Silent Auction now through Dec. 12. An array of fun and useful items are available for purchase via the silent auction including restaurant gift certificates, Creighton Bluejay basketball tickets, a hot air balloon ride, a cruise and much more. SAGH will use the auction proceeds to support its medical service trips, which have been offered annually since 1996. In March 2009, SAGH will send service teams composed of UNMC students, faculty and staff to Jamaica, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and an American Indian Reservation. Sixty-four UNMC students from the fields of medicine, nursing, physician assistant, and pharmacy will participate. During these trips, thousands of men, women and children will receive primary care and public health services. Trip members transport donated medicines, medical supplies, hygiene and personal care items, clothing and toys to use as needed or leave with appropriate institutions.
