E-portfolios the focus of March 12 faculty development seminar 
Steven Bullock, Ph.D., interim assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), and Neal Topp, Ph.D., professor in the College of Education at UNO, will present at faculty development program titled "E-portfolio: Considering Applications in Academic Health Care," on Thursday, March 12 at 11 a.m. in the Sorrell Center, Room 4053. As part of UNMC's ongoing interprofessional dialogue regarding assessment strategies, this program will feature a contemporary topic in academic medicine, the portfolio. Drs. Topp and Bullock will describe UNO's experiences with and uses for electronic portfolios. While portfolios have various purposes and uses for students, residents and faculty, this session will focus on the use of portfolios in educational settings around the globe and the potential for the design and maintenance, content, benefits, and assessment of portfolios in medical education. Pre-registration is required. For UNMC faculty, there is no fee to attend this course (CIK 9818). Register online at unmc.edu/facdev or call 559-5929.
