Fulbright scholarship workshop April 15 
UNMC faculty who are interested in learning more about the Fulbright Program or becoming a Fulbright Scholar are invited to join Tom Farrell, associate vice president for international affairs for the University of Nebraska system, and Dr. Sabine O'Hara, executive director of the council for international exchange of scholars and vice president of the institute of international education. Mr. Farrell and Dr. O'Hara will be at the UNMC campus on Wednesday, April 15 to give an overview of the Fulbright Program and a workshop about applying to be a Fulbright Scholar. The program will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the Sorrell Center, Room 3030. The Fulbright Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, is the U.S. government's flagship international exchange program and is supported by the people of the United States and partner countries around the world. Funding is available for students, scholars, teachers and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching and teaching in elementary and secondary schools. Established in 1946, the program aims to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries through the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills.
