Target Audience
This accredited continuing education activity is designed for members of the healthcare team to include engineers, designers, technology specialists, public health professionals, healthcare innovators, and others interested in health design thinking.
Learning Outcomes
- Discuss design thinking principles in health care practice, education, and research.
- Facilitate connections and collaboration among healthcare professionals, community members, and other innovators interested in health design thinking.
- Apply practical skills and techniques derived from evidence-based best practices and emerging trends in health design thinking to implement in your own healthcare and/or practice.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages academic research, scholarship, and the integration of design thinking into healthcare education and professional development.
Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 6.50 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity.
This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 6.5 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change. -
