    ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

    This activity will discuss cultivating a supportive environment following critical healthcare incidents. Attendees will learn about communication and debriefing strategies essential for creating a supportive environment in the aftermath of critical incidents. This includes understanding how leaders can effectively communicate, support healthcare staff, and mitigate the impact of such incidents on team dynamics.

    TARGET AUDIENCE

    This accredited continuing education activity is designed for nurses and other interested health professionals.

    At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:

    1. Explore 3 characteristics of effective communication.
    2. Identify 3 barriers to effective communication.
    3. Identify 3 strategies to be less emotionally reactive.
