Target Audience
This accredited continuing education activity is designated for Omaha community members, CRISP member scientists, clinicians and researchers from UNMC/UNO, students, post-docs in health/population/symptom sciences and other interested members of the healthcare team.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe the impact of food and financial insecurity on diverse populations in Nebraska.
- Identify the burden of food and financial insecurity among those living with cancer and other chronic illnesses.
- Apply evidence-informed clinical and community strategies to reduce the impact of food and financial insecurity on prevention and self-management of chronic illness among diverse and at-risk populations.
Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 5.0 ANCC contact hours.
