  • Target Audience

    This accredited continuing education activity is designed for registered nurses, nurse practitioners, behavioral health specialists, as well as other health professionals and students who are interested in facilitating interprofessional education and teamwork to support system-level changes that promote wellness.

    Location

    This conference will be held entirely online via ZOOM on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 8:30am-12:15pm CT | 7:30am-11:15am MT

    Educational Objectives
    At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:

    • Describe challenges and innovative strategies for improving the wellbeing of the nursing and behavioral health workforce of Nebraska.
    • Discuss evidence-based interventions to promote mental and physical wellbeing among nurses and behavioral health providers in the workforce.
    • Discuss the ethical responsibilities of nurses, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health providers in engaging in self-care activities.
    • Identify strategies to improve the current and future status of the nursing and behavioral health workforce in Nebraska through practice, policy, and education.
    • Describe emerging trends in wellness, resiliency, and wellbeing as they relate to the nursing and behavioral health workforce in Nebraska.
    • Facilitating interprofessional education and teamwork to support environmental/system level changes that promote wellness.

    accreditation In support of improving patient care, University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

    The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 3.25 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity.
    accreditation Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. This activity has been approved for 3.25 credit hours of continuing education credits.
