Learning Outcomes
- Foster wellness for women's health and wellbeing utilizing strategies to enhance resilience and self-care
- Identify community resources available to assist with overcoming challenges when navigating the healthcare system involving caregiving, screenings, pain management, and/or mental health.
- Discuss approaches to overcome barriers of wellness and what modifications are necessary to minimize these challenges related to lifestyle and behavioral patterns.

This activity is intended for nurses, social workers, other interested health professionals and community members.
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Olson Center for Women's Health. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 6.0 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity

- Identify community resources to help assist with the everyday activities of daily living related to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Describe the importance of providing caregivers with education and information concerning parent support, independent living, recreation, advocacy, or other specific resources for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

- Articulate common types of pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse including how modifications to lifestyle or behavioral patterns can minimize these disorders.
- Discuss medical treatment options for incontinence and prolapse.
