Target Audience

This accredited continuing education activity is designated for all nurses, physical therapists, and other health care professionals involved in wound, ostomy, and continence care.

Learning Outcomes

Identify the role of pharmacologic treatments and medication management in wound healing and ostomy care, addressing challenges such as absorption, chronic conditions, and complications like short gut syndrome.
Foster evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary approaches in wound, ostomy, and/or continence care to optimize patient outcomes across diverse clinical settings.
Discuss the legal and ethical considerations in wound care and pressure injury management, including strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with best practices.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and the Nebraska Affiliate of the WOCN Society. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 6.0 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity.

Early Bird: Between February 1st and March 1st your registration fee will be $100.
All registrations after March 1st until April 4th, 2025 will be $125.

Refunds will be granted (less a $25 processing fee) if cancellation is received in writing before April 04, 2025. NO refunds will be honored after this date. A $35 processing fee will be assessed for insufficient funds.
