Target Audience
This accredited continuing education activity is designated for all nurses, physical therapists, and other health care professionals involved in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify the role of pharmacologic treatments and medication management in wound healing and ostomy care, addressing challenges such as absorption, chronic conditions, and complications like short gut syndrome.
- Foster evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary approaches in wound, ostomy, and/or continence care to optimize patient outcomes across diverse clinical settings.
- Discuss the legal and ethical considerations in wound care and pressure injury management, including strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with best practices.
